The New York Knicks came up with a disappointing effort on Saturday night against the Miami Heat, which ended their four game winning streak. However, they have a great chance to get back on track tonight against the historically awful Milwaukee Bucks, at 8-39…the Knicks have no excuse to slip up tonight, especially with their limited margin for error.
The Knicks have somewhat struggled with the Bucks in their previous meetings, barely edging them out for a pair of wins so far this season. However, if they can stay with their small ball approach and play any semblance of defense, the Knicks should be okay tonight against a truly awful Milwaukee squad.
Tim Hardaway Jr played THIRTY SEVEN minutes on Saturday. It will be interesting to see how much run Mike Woodson gives him tonight. Same goes for Jeremy Tyler who was bumped down to 8 minutes against the Heat, while Amare Stoudemire only played 4 minutes. How will Woodson sort his big man rotation out going forward?
With each passing game, it is starting to feel more and more like the Knicks ceiling is battling it our for a 7 or 8 seed in the pathetically bad Eastern Conference. They haven’t shown anything to make us believe they can climb higher than that and they certainly haven’t shown anything to make us believe they can give Indiana or Miami a run in a first round series. Let’s hope they can build a little momentum tonight against a inferior opponent before they have to deal with three challenging upcoming games against quality Western Conference teams.
